for a Great Day
Wheels and Wings returned this year to FREE admission. Working in partnership with the Osceola Area Chamber, the Osceola Lions Club, the Village of Osceola and the Airport Commission, 2016 brought on beautiful weather and a great day. Thank you to all of our sponsors and volunteers!
The T2 Fairey Gannet, recognized as one of the rarest and most unique aircraft flying in the world with a history like no other made a big hit. The Ninety-Nines hosted an aviation advocacy learning center focusing on educating our young aviatrixes on the basic forces of flight and future careers in the aviation field. Julie Clark the legendary female pilot and pioneer performed in her T-34 Mentor with beautiful grace. And the Lucas Oil team returned with their amazing aerobatics and inverted act.
The Car and Motorcycle Show was coordinated by Stardust Car Shows.Attendees enjoyed 50’s music and favorite cars and trucks—amazing antiques, vintage, muscle cars, classics -and lots of motorcycles too!
The 2016 Kid Zone included the StarQuest Flight Simulator, Mobile Discovery STREAM, and Imagination Playground. The Food and Beer Garden hosted several local food vendors and merchants to add to the enjoyment for all. To close out the day, a Golf Ball Drop helped raise funds for the Lions Club.
Osceola has lots to offer throughout the year and we invite you to visit and stay awhile.
Fall Colors are an especially beautiful time of year. Take a train ride at the Osceola Depot, visit Cascade Falls, hike one of the new trails in town, go shopping at new boutique stores just opened or check out one of the great patios to dine outdoors. Check out all the things to do in the Osceola Area.
